The Masked Man
This is the game with the uncomplicated title of being the first game I released to the public. I made it as part of Lua Lucky's "Vtuber Game Jam" with the theme "masks". This game also has the honor of being the least balanced title I've released thus far. I really don't know how to describe the story without spoiling what little there is.
Here's a bit of trivia about this one:
- The game features both of my first two sprites that I ever made, overtop a base that was just "Naked RTP Man"
- I made this game in-between college classes, which is how I came to realize I wouldn't be able to make a game for a later class assignment
- This game features an outdated version of the Timeline Man who had a middle part hair style instead of whatever this is:
Diced-up Biomes!
This game came out after Sunset, if I remember right, or at least after it was mostly finished. It was made for a GMTK Game Jam with the theme of "Roll of the Dice". It's about a Grandma who loves home cooking and her grandson going out to face a corporate overlord who wants to plunge the world into reliance on fast food. It features a cooking mechanic, and probably the most "RPG" stuff out of the game jam games.
Here's some trivia:
- This is the only game so far where I worked with someone else for character designs and portraits.
- this game actually has a bunch of cut content. There are a few islands that are impossible to land on because I didn't have time to put the stuff there.
- The cooking mechanic in this game was meant as a prototype for Cooking in New Dawn for the Elements, which was in the planning stage at the time. I decided to use a plugin because of how poorly this version worked
Pilot Episode
This is my most recent game jam project, made for a GMTK Game Jam with the theme "Built to Scale". It's about a pseudo-Ultraman who has to grow large to save the city. It has the most "exploration" out of the three games, but is probably has the least of an experience of an RPG.
Trivia:
- The alien version of the hero is built on the same sprite base as all the men in New Dawn for the Elements
- Upon launch, due to using "exclude unused files", the game could not start, as the deployed version removed the RMMV logo image from the start-up screen. Becuase of this, I had to take the game down, and thus could not update it to fix the issue until the jam was over.
